Zuhair Murad Spring 2015 couture

There is so much to love about Zuhair Murad, take his Spring 2015 couture collection for one

This sequined romper looked like it was ready to stage ready for a Katy Perry or Beyoncé show

As well as the elegant slim fitting numbers that were crystal-encrusted

A peplum jacket that  shimmered like it was a waterfall

One number was so sheer and had such a plunging V It was like Botticelli’s birth of Venus coming at us 

The Appliqué flower work on the floor length gowns were as per usual exquisite as were the shorter flirtier versions

 

 

There was more tulle than at a Gypsies fat wedding 

 

 Some of the frillier versions were a bit out there the top but that is the beauty of couture

Giorgio Armani Haute Couture Spring 2015

 The end of my Haute Couture reviews

Giorgio Armani has been producing Haute Couture for 10 years  he is now 80 years old.. which means his first haute couture collection was at 70, which in turn proves style is ageless

This collection was his usual grace stylised Japanese’s bows 

 as well as Japanese plant prints and embroidery  artistic plants 
 
 his usual sequined dresses Plisse which looked very Yohji Yamamoto

Valentino Spring 2015 Couture

Valentino dresses under Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli are always so romantic and dreamy, but never done in a overly sweet way.. I don’t know how they do it? They still manage to keep it cool enough, contemporary and innovative

The latest haute couture offering was straight out of Medieval peasants dressmakers handbook,

however, Medieval peasants never dressed with this luxury 

I loved the needlepoint embroideries on long pinafores 

ruched and cape-backed dresses, long narrow sleeves that flared at the wrist over embroidered dresses

 

the embellishments, and the appliquéd flowers

the smoken shirts under heavily embellished dresses

the gold sequins and embroidery 

and the simple velvet dresses all worked so well


I need to go a find a castle now
